Every post is created with the intention to either educate or provoke thought on certain subjects. I most certainly do not claim to be an expert on anything and all work written on this blog is purely opinion based with researched facts. The Godd#mn Frank Miller: Superman Year One Announcement

Last year DC comics announced the premiere of the "Black Label" line of comics which would feature several works by Frank Miller. The well known artist and writer will be  working on at least two new titles, "Superman: Year One" and an untitled Carey Kelly series . This was announced last year on March 2018 by DC and several media outlets. There were, of course, fans of the publisher that did not look forward to or pay attention to the new line of comics until the release of "Batman: Damned" in September 2018. The premiere title of Black Label  drew in publicity  after readers witnessed the provocative imagery of a nude Batman. Prices on the comic increased dramatically and became erratic for a period of time. Such a situation was enough for readers to start looking at the new line of comics with the expectation of being impressed by the promise of a new more "no holds barred" style of writing. Frank Miller: An Aggressive Tale

Frank Miller is a widely known comic book writer who's work has managed to touch the lives of so many people who may not even realize it. He has written works that have both provoked thought and created emotional roller coasters to stir the mind. His works are known for their gritty and Noir like content, his most common form of writing style that are in his main works. However, many of his closely following fans have noticed the parts of his works that may seem somewhat unconventional. The readers of his works expect the content to be rather explicit, but there are things he writes where some people will question his sanity. He was born in 1957, in Maryland, as one of seven children, he is currently 61 years old. Fanatix of Troy Owner: Jacob Messervy

Recently, I decided to do an interview with my local comic book shop owner Jacob "Jake" Messervy, who was kind enough to answer some of my question about his business. It should be no surprise that owning a comic shop is just the same as running any privately owned business. The process has its ups and downs, as well as, its goals and barriers that are tacked on when starting a business anywhere. Although, it is located in a small city in the South, which brings up certain questions about how a business is run in certain conditions. Q: How would you describe place of business? A: Fanatix of Troy is a pro-social environment. While we focus on gaming and comic books, things of that nature, we don't exactly limit ourselves to it.
